Can people on my contacts still message me after I uninstalled Telegram?
Yes. Telegram, unlike WhatsApp, has all it’s messages stored on the cloud. That means that it has nothing with your phone. When you uninstall Telegram, nothing happens.
All the messages that you get will go to your account in the cloud, and next time you log in, you will see all the messages that were sent to you.That being said, after one year of inactivity (you can change this in the settings) your account will be deleted.
Heres Steps
Step 1 - Click on the chat you want to recover in your chat list.
Step 1 - On the bottom left corner of the chat window, click on the three lines next to "Inbox".
Step 1 - In the "Recover messages from" dialog box that opens, select "All chats".
Step 1 - If the chat you want to recover is not in this list, search for it using the search bar at the top of the window.
Step 1 - Click on the Recover messages button to start recovering messages from the selected chat.
